Fruit, Granola and Yogurt Parfait

Updated: Jul 13, 2020

Sometimes it's just too hot to turn on the stove in the summer!

Summertime is the best for fresh berries! In Baltimore, it also means sweltering hot temperatures outside. Sometimes turning on the oven for even a few minutes can heat up the whole house quickly. This means getting creative with ingredients that don't need to be cooked!

Pretty and Delicious

Layering a parfait isn't necessary but it makes it visually pleasing!

This week's parfait recipe is easy. You simply layer the ingredients so each spoonful is smooth and sweet with just a bit of crunch! It's also a recipe that can be adapted to whatever you have in the fridge. Don't have berries? Use any other fruit! Don't have granola? Cereal also tastes delicious in this mix. Yogurt can be replaced by ice cream or whipped cream though that's obviously not quite as healthy for you.

Get Creative

You can also get creative by changing up the amounts in each layer or using different glassware to showcase designs on the side. If you have a blender you can blend ingredients too. Here's some photos of all the fun ways you can dress up your personal parfait! Happy Healthy Eating!
